We thought about having a big party but decided against it and instead spend the day just the two of us, enjoying the simple things. We took a walk in our favorite park, had a fantastic dinner, did a little shopping and watched a movie. A very simple day which was absolutely perfect.<br /><br />On very rare occasions, such as our anniversary for example, Emil gets to have a certain degree of input when it comes to what I wear. Funny, I always assumed  boys like dresses and short skirts, but he really is more of a jeans and t-shirt kind of a guy. He even mentioned the dreaded word "flats" but I had to draw the line somewhere. If I can hike in heels I can certainly take a walk in a park in them.
